MHRA is actively involved in both our own suburb security as well as being part of the Randburg CPF. The boom, camera system and guards serve as a deterrent to crime but cannot guarantee the exclusion of all criminals from our suburb.
Remember that your security starts with you and each resident is encouraged to ensure that they have adequate security and that they make use of their own security devices!
Updated Access Control at Norman Avenue
Our entrance access control has recently been upgraded to a modern, automated system. When entering the suburb, drivers are required to lower their window and present a hand to the touch-free wave sensor mounted on the entrance gooseneck to open the boom. Exiting the suburb is fully automated—the exit boom opens via loop sensors as your vehicle approaches, ensuring seamless departures.
For community safety, Mill Hill is monitored by CCTV infrastructure, and video footage of vehicles and occupants is recorded upon entry. This system records standard video only; it does not capture snapshots or use facial recognition, and no biometric data is collected or stored, ensuring full compliance with POPIA regulations. The recorded footage is stored securely and overwritten automatically after approximately 30 days
